December Events - Last Race!
Happy December!
After a brief break we are ready to finish off the AZOT fall series with round 9 on Saturday December 11 at Arizona Cycle park.
Gates open at 7:00, practice starts at 9:00.
There is still quite a bit of drama in the Fall Series:
In the Master Class, Tee Stefaniac leads, but Ricky Arnold and Ryan Pedigo can each add one more race to their best 7, while Tee can only improve on a previous score because he already has 7 counting. Brian Sharp does pretty well on the Vet-X track and may play a spoiler role.
Darren Sebastiani has a firm grip on the Expert title, being the only rider to meet the 5 race qualification at this time. Brian Perry Jr, Daniel Kennedy, and Donny Beavin all need one more race to qualify.
In the Intermediate class, David Kennedy has the series championship salted away. Jasmine Phillips leads Mark McGinnis by a slim 6 points for second in the series. They both have 7 or more races on the books and will be looking to upgrade a previous result.
Brian Perry Sr has the Novice championship locked down, with John Dolan sitting in 2nd. Ron Ryer, Tim Wilson, and Gary Kritcher all have a race to add though, so there may be a scrap for the podium.
The Year-end Top 10 is pretty interesting. You will notice the top 11 are shown below. This is because Ken McKutcheon is outside looking in, but he may not be after the last race.
Tee has a lock on the #1 plate and Jacket, last year’s overall champ Ron Ryer sits at 2 but with Ryan Pedigo just a race-win back. We have a tie at 4&5 between Darren Kennon and James Sommerville, with Brian Sharp only 8 points behind them. There could be a bit of a shakeup in 4-6.
7-11 are all within one race score of each other, so depending on who shows up and who doesn’t there could be some big moves.

Next on the Agenda is the monthly meeting. Thursday December 16 at Fates Brewing Company 1312 N Scottsdale Rd Scottsdale, AZ 85257
We will be planning the Spring Schedule and making plans for the International.
Sunday December 19 we have an informal practice day at Motoland. The club is not renting the track, so normal practice fees apply. A Club lunch has been planned however.
