Race Recap - Fall Series #7 - Motoland MX
Motoland - Sunday, Nov 14:
On to day 2 of the double header weekend, we shared the newly extended Vet track with the AVDRA group – getting Race 7 - so we had a chance to watch the vintage bikes on the track. Of our 22 racers, we had 4 Master, still only 2 Experts, 10 Intermediate and 6 Novice. A welcome back to few more racers we haven’t seen for a while – Matt Martin, Ron March, Rich Schauwecker and Paul Blankenship. Calling all Experts – we miss you.
Robert Naughton, a well-known pro from the 80’s, joined us for the one-day race. He gave a really tough challenge to our Masters, but Ryan Pedigo, Rick Arnold and Tee Stefaniak held their own on the unknown track.
In the Intermediates, Paul Blankenship edged Travis Nelson out for first place and David Kennedy settled for third after he bit the dust in a tight corner. Unfortunately, Jasmine left with a badly re-injured knee (but with her 4th place victory) – looks like time off the bike for surgery. Brian Perry, Sr. again snagged the Novice first place, with David Brown and Ron Ryer in close chase.
Races went quickly and we wrapped up early in the afternoon. Next to last race is next Sunday, Nov 21, at Canyon. Still time to get some points and switch places in both the Fall Series as well as the Top Ten Annual Awards. Take a look at points on the website and see you at Canyon on Nov 21st and at ACP on Dec 11th.
