Preston was raised by his Grandma. His best friend’s “Dad” had a passion for motorcycles so when Preston turned 10 years old, he started riding a dirt bike himself.
He thinks that Motocross is the most challenging & thrilling sport of all because it takes extreme coordination, top level fitness and it also takes a lot of nerve to execute the jumps especially at Motoland. He enjoys the thrill of going fast and the elbow-to-elbow racing all while having to deal with the obstacles of the track.
Preston raced in the AZOT International this year and he also 2 of the Oregon International races back in his 30’s. His favorite part about the OT International races are the extra-long motos and the discipline that it takes to ride 3-20 minute races in the same day.
When I asked Preston how competitive he thinks he is when it comes to motocross…he said he was a 7 which he said is “competitive enough”.
Preston has 2 favorite motocross memories…his 1st one was back in 1982 in Saddleback, Cali. He was 13 years old when he saw his first Professional Motocross Race for the 1st time and he witnessed Bob “Hurricane” Hannah battle against Jeff Ward & Rick Johnson. His 2nd fav memory was attending the 2022 MXON at Redbud. Going to that race was actually on his bucket list.
